In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn about what makes gouache such a unique medium, techniques for creating depth and contrast with paint, and how to compose your own landscape painting. 

Workshop will cover:

• Brief history of landscape painting 

• Introduction to gouache as a medium

• Landscape reference photos and inspiration

• Guided instruction for how to compose and paint a landscape scene

• Traditional painting materials: gouache on watercolor paper

• Your own landscape painting to take home at the end

 This workshop is suitable for painters of all skill levels, no previous experience is required. Workshop fees cover all materials.

In this three hour workshop, you will learn what makes gouache such a unique medium, techniques for creating depth and contrast with paint, and how to compose your own landscape painting from a photo reference. We will learn to painting nature elements, including trees, vegetation, and flowers. You’ll leave with a finished painting and the foundational skills to keep painting with gouache on your own. All materials are provided and no previous painting experience is required.
